אורן בירן, צלם המתמחה בצילום מסחרי, תדמית ופורטרטים בדגש על בימוי סצנות רבות משתתפים. צילום שהשראתו מגיעה מהגבולות הדקים שבאלמנטים קולנועיים, מסחריים ואמונותיים. כחלק מעבודתו, אורן מתרכז בצילום חברתי, תערכותו האחרונה מתארת את הגיל השלישי בצורה הומורוסטית ומלאת חיים,הוצגה בתיאטרון ירושלים (2015) ובבנין האו״מ שבניו יורק (2017) ונתמכה על ידי ארגון ה”ג’וינט״ ומשרד החוץ של ישראל. פרוייקט ״ ילדות בצל הגירוש״ שבו צילם ילדים של עובדים זרים לפני גירוש העלה שאלו מהותיות לגבי מצבה של החברה הישראלית, הפרוייקט הוצג בגלריית “contemporary by golconda” תל אביב. אורן מגיע מעולם התיאטרון ,עובדה זו ניכרת לרוב בעבודותיו שמתאפיינות בדרמה ונרטיב תקופתי,אפיון הדמויות והאובייקטים השונים מתקיים כחלק מתהליך משותף עם המצולמים. אלמנטים אלו כמראה למציאות, מעלים שאלות מהותיות לגבי הנורמות החברתיות בסביבתנו. .בוגר המכללה לצילום ובית הספר “יורם לוינשטיין”

Oren Biran is a photographer who specializes in portraits, focusing on directing scenes comprising numerous participants.His work is inspired from the delicate bounderies within film, commercial and artistic elements. His work includes social photography. His latest exhibition, which was held at the Jerusalem Theater (2015) and at the U.N Headquarters in N.Y, USA (2017), funded by the Joint Distribution Committee, described the “golden age” in a humorous and vivacious manner. Within ‘Deported’, Oren photographed children of foreign workers before deportation, raising essential questions regarding the state of Israeli society. The project was exhibited at the Contemporary by Golconda, Tel Aviv. Oren comes from the theatrical world, an apparent feature in most of his work, characterized by drama and contemporary narrative. The figures’ portrayal and the diverse objects are in collaboration with the photographed subjects. These elements serve as a mirror of realityand raise criticial questions regarding the region’s social norms. Oren is a graduate of the College of Photography and Yoram Lewinstein’s Acting Studio.
